ServerSift requests the identity and guild-list access needed to show communities you are allowed to manage.

Only servers you own or can manage are eligible, so nobody can claim or advertise somebody else’s community.

Listing FAQ
Who can list a Discord server?
You must own the server or have Discord’s Manage Server permission. After sign-in, ServerSift only shows communities your Discord account is allowed to manage.
What does ServerSift review?
We check that the listing is truthful, safe for work and complete, with an appropriate category, approved tags and a usable description. Automated checks handle clear cases and a person reviews uncertain or higher-risk submissions.
Does paying improve organic ranking?
No. Paid placements are clearly labelled and use a separate system. They do not change search relevance, category ordering, trending, activity rankings or ServerSift Ratings.
Does ServerSift read Discord messages?
No. When the bot is present, ServerSift records aggregate hourly activity counts, never message content or per-member activity. Those privacy-safe totals can help visitors find communities that are genuinely active.
What happens after approval?
An approved listing becomes discoverable once the bot is present and its invite works. Invite health is checked again over time, and a listing is temporarily hidden from discovery if its invite stops working.
